Pedro Pastor was a phenomenal guide. He is a very skilled birder and our birding success was great. But he is also very knowledgeable about plant life and ecosystems and very generous in sharing his insights. He was also comfortable discussing Ecuadorian history and current Ecuadorian culture. There were just two of us on this trip, so we spent a lot of time with Pedro. He has a good instinct for when to offer information and insights and when to enjoy the scenery or settings in silence. I could not be more pleased with Pedro as a guide. We would enthusiastically travel with him again.   Nick Heldt and Cindy Plevin   Taylor made Birding travel in January 2019

Sally, We got home from Ecuador on Monday and the trip was fabulous. Our second week was spent on a cruise to the Galapagos. We both wanted to really thank you for all of your help in making the Santa Lucia portion of our trip great! We'll never forget the Cock of the Rock lek. Thank you also for your recommendation for our guide, Santiago Salazar. He was incredible with the birds, knowledgible and personable. We will ask for him if we return to Ecuador. Thanks also for arranging for the staff to perform their band night while we were there. It was an extra special evening which we'll never forget. It was nice to meet you at last and hope the rest of your trip went as well as ours. Thanks again! Xavier, We returned home from Ecuador on Monday. Our second week was spent on a cruise to the Galapagos which was also fabulous. Thanks for all of your help in making this trip exceptional, we had a great time at Sa...

Xavier and Oswaldo, 461 is unbelievable. I had hoped for 400 when I signed up for tour but that was wishful thinking. Even more remarkable is cost per bird. With both airfares added to tour cost it works out at jut under $10/bird. I read somewhere that most tours average around $50 per bird. What a bargain we had! Many thanks, Clark Blake Birdwatching tour Colombia with Nature Experience from 26.02 to 10.03.2013

Hi Xavier. -Mary and I wanted to send you a note and thank you again for the very special birding trip to Colombia. We really appreciated your enthusiasm, sense of humor, attention to detail, birding skills, and patience with Mary and me. We felt you really wanted us to see the birds and enjoy their splendor. We were pretty thrilled. If you have time to send us some photos, we would cherish them as a reminder of a notable and unforgettable trip. Sally says you are back on another trip to Colombia already. You are definitely a busy guy. Glad you have the business! Hope the trip goes as well as ours did. Should we decide to make another nature tour to Ecuador or Colombia, you'll be hearing from us. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future. - We got the set of photos from our Colombia trip that you sent today. Thank you! Mary and I were thrilled to get them! Hi Xavier, I hope you arrived home safe and soud. We arrived back in green valley about 9:00pm the plane was 1- 1/2 hours late. It was a fantastic trip Xavier, many thanks, we think we had about 446 species but some were just heard. Anyway i think we all need a couple of days of rest and then I can start to thinking about the next tour, maybe sometime oct/nov? We had 1 3/4 " of rain while we were away which was so good for us here, my plants are all bloomimg. All the best and thanks again, I will be in touch soon, Sally Johnsen

"New trip to Ecuador, always with Nature experience; and so much happiness! This trip pleased me in all respects. We were a group of 6 enthusiasts of photo-ornitho and came back enchanted with a trip too short, alas. The stay at BELLAVISTA, a must-see lodge for birds (hummingbirds, toucanets, trogons, etc.) and the chance to see the olinguito of the mists.

Xavier I just wanted to send a note of thanks for the great birwatching tour I had while I was in Ecuador. It was a fantastic experience in all ways that I enjoyed tremendously. In particular I want to say how impressed I was with Holger, he is absolutely fantastic! Pass on my praise to him if you would. David A. Dear Xavier, Believe it or not, I am back in the US WITH my passport! You made our travel so comfortable, and you were so very patient with us all. We were so very impressed with your knowledge of the ecosystems and culture of Ecuador as well as your passion for nature and ornithology. When I have a moment, I will write a review, but I would like to send it to you prior to posting. Please know how much we all appreciated your kindness, patience, and professionalism. And, also know we are serious in our invitation to visit Virginia - Marquis De Lafayette loved our part of the world - I'm sure you would too! Again, many, many thanks for a sharing the forests, mountains and valleys of Ecuador! Best, Eve Solomon Avril 2014 – Birdwatching trip in Ecuador with Birding Experience

Xavier Amigo was our birding guide to Antisana NP and Guango Lodge on Tues April 7. He knew exactly where the birds were and identified SO many that I could have never seen without his assistance. He was also extremely kind, patient, helpful and thoughtful. He answered our questions about "all things Ecuador" including the way Nature Experience organizes its trips within Ecuador (including Galapagos), Columbia, Venezuela and Peru. I definitely recommend this company, especially if Xavier is your guide. I hope to bring a small group of birders back to Quito for another wonderful adventure.
