Ecuador with its 433 species of reptiles (31 species of turtles, 5 crocodilians, 3 Amphisbaenians, 178 lizards and 216 snakes) and more than 464 species of amphibians, occupies the seventh place in the world in terms of herpetological diversity.
Its relatively small territory and its varied topography places it as a veritable paradise for herpetologists and amateurs of this still often unknown world.
During our “herping” tours we will take you to meet this most fascinating fauna, which is amongst the most fragile of the planet. They are almost everywhere, from the Amazonian rainforest to the Pacific coast, through the foothill areas of the Andes mountain range, not forgetting the legendary Galapagos, a true paradise for endemic species.
All these ecosystems open their doors to us, places of exciting encounters for the observation of this very particular fauna.
